Find some privacy
Even if you don’t plan on taking a long class, you shouldn’t have to worry about being interrupted by those at home with you.
Close the door of your home office, set up in the corner of your bedroom, or even head out to your garden to enjoy a practice al-fresco. Just be sure that you can find a private space to truly focus and relax!
Add your favourite scent
Fill your practice space with a calming scent. Grab an oil diffuser, or add your favourite essential oil to water in a small spray bottle. Spray around you and your mat, and take a deep breath. You’ll achieve instant tranquility!
Play some tunes
As you’re stretching or going through a flow, put on some of your favourite music. You can tailor your music choices to what you’re trying to accomplish in your practice. If you’re looking to relax, select a calming playlist that will help you to unwind, or if your practice if more energising, choose something upbeat to boost your mood and help you flow!
Bring in nature
Try to add a few small potted plants or a succulent or two next to your mat. Bringing plants in the space where you’re practicing will help to create your own little home oasis.
